CCLS hosted the 2008 annual National Surveyors' Association Forum on September 6, 7, and 8, 2008 in Winnipeg, MB, immediately following the Association of Manitoba Land Surveyors annual meeting. Reports of the proceedings are on the CCLS 2008 AGM Reports page. The meeting format was expanded to include a working session on the Future of the Profession initiative. The session, designed to create specific models, plans, and/or strategies endorsed by the CCLS Directors and other Association representatives, will move the Future Initiative forward in a direction endorsed by the Associations. Most Associations arranged for both their CCLS Director and their President to participate in the session. The meeting concluded with the CCLS Annual Directors' and Members' Meetings
